TRIPOLI, IOWA - James L. Greenlees, 68, of Tripoli, died Friday, July 6, 2007, at Community Memorial Hospital, Sumner, of congestive heart failure.

He was born September 22, 1938, in Charles City, Iowa, theson of Wallace and Edith Hillier Greenlees. He married Ruby K. Menke on February 17, 1968, at First Baptist Church, Sumner.

Mr. Greenlees drove truck for Bock Transport, Garner, and then with Necker Trucking, Uhlenhopp Trucking and Biesterfelt Livestock. The couple farmed with their family in rural Sumner until retiring in December 1992. He also was a school bus driver for the Tripoli Schools for many years.

Survived by his wife; two sons, Wallace (Denise) of Adel and Wendell of Ramsey, Minn.; two daughters, Janelle (Mark) Epperson of Fairfield and Jacallyn (Robert) Gunzenhauser of Humeston; seven grandchildren; his stepfather, Louis Horsley of Sumner; and a sister, Janice (Ron) Gronseth of Faribault, Minn.

Preceded in death by his father, Wallace; his mother, Edith Greenlees Horsley; and an infant sister, Barbara.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, Sumner, with burial at 3 p.m. in Riverside Cemetery, Charles City. Public visitation 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Rettig Funeral Home, Tripoli.
