Minnie (Patterson) Magilton – Born August 21, 1879 in Belfast, Ireland; died November 20, 1961 in Rockford, Iowa

MRS. MAGILTON RITES WEDNESDAY AT ROCKFORD

Rockford – Mrs. Minnie Magilton, 82, died Monday. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Weaver Funeral Home. The Rev. Oliver Brewer, of Charles City, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery here.

Born in Ireland, August 21, 1879, she was the daughter of Thomas and Isabel Patterson. She came here in 1907. She was married to John Coffey and after his death was married to James Magilton, who died a year ago.

Surviving are five children, Mrs. John Olson and Mrs. Betty Stangeland, both of Marshalltown; Mrs. Fanny Symes, Rockford; James Coffey, Maxwell, Iowa; John Magilton, Charles City; a brother, Sam Patterson, Rockford; a sister, Mrs. Martha Magilton, Burbank, California 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren
