Knute Paulson was born June 21, 1886 at rural Floyd Co, Iowa to Gjert Knutsen Paulson and Randi Anna Pedersdatter Framstad, the oldest of their three children.

Knute was confirmed on June 2, 1901 at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.

Found in the 1900 & 1910 censuses living at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa:
1900: George Paulson 49, Anne Paulson 32, Knud Paulson 13, Anne Paulson 12, Tommas Paulson 6, Gustav Paulson 5, Borde C Paulson 4, Alma G Paulson 3, Andre Pederson 30.

1910: Knut Paulson age 24, working as a hired man for the Hvattum family.

Some time after 1910, Knute moved to Burleigh, North Dakota where other family was living and it appears he never married nor had children.

Knute Paulson died March 5, 1960 at Driscoll, Burleigh, North Dakota and was buried at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Driscoll, Burleigh, North Dakota.
