MRS. SCHMIDT, 79 DIES AT
NORA SPRINGS; RITES WILL
BE HELD SATURDAY

Nora Springs; Oct. 23 -- Funral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Schmidt, 79, will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Methodist Church. The Rev. J. E. DeLong will conduct the services. Burial will be at Park Cemetery.

Elizabeth Meier was born near Galena, Illinois, July 20, 1852. when but a small child, the family moved to near Lancaster, Wisconsin. In 1874, the family came to Nora Springs.

In 1875 she was married to George Schmidt. She lived and died in the home she went to as a bride. She had serious heart disease for years. A stroke Monday night caused her death Thursday morning. She was a member of the Methodist Church nearly all her life.

She is survived by her two sons, George and Fred of Nora Springs; two brothers, John Meier of Nora Springs, Fred Meier of Eden Valley, Minnesota; four sisters, Mrs. John Graper of Plymouth, Miss Mary Meier of Nora Springs, Mrs. Peter Eby of Des Moines, and Mrs. Arthur Crall of Erie, Kansas
