MRS. RECKARD IS FOUND DEAD
NORA SPRINGS WOMAN BELIEVED VICTIM OF SUICIDE IN CEMETERYNora Springs -- Mrs. Steve Reckard, 45, was found dead in a car in Rock Grove Cemetery Monday morning, apparently a suicide victim.
Mrs. Reckard had evidently driven to the cemetery Sunday night, taken a vacuum cleaner hose and hooked it from the exhaust pipe into the window of the car. She had been in ill health for the past year. The body was found by Harold Noah, sexton.
Surviving are her sons, Gale and Don, and her husband Steve, who is employed in Mason City.
The Martin and Sheckler Funeral Home has charge of funeral arrangements.

BURIAL IS MADE IN ROCK GROVE CEMETERY FOR MRS. RECKARDNora Springs -- A private funeral was held for Mrs. Steven Reckard, 41, at the Martin Sheckler Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon, with the Rev. Robert Davies officiating. Burial was in Rock Grove cemetery.
She taught school at Webster City until her marriage March 16, 1916, at Mason City.
She has lived all of her married life in Nora Springs, excepting part of the first year at Duncombe.
She is survived by her husband, Steven Reckard, two sons, Donald Reckard of Nora Springs and Gale, a high school student at home, by two brothers, Milton Hill of Minneapolis, Minnesota and George of Washington, one sister Mrs. Herman De Buhr of Charles City, and by one grandchild.
