Sarah A (Stewart) Gonser – June 30, 1858 – November 1, 1942

MRS. W. GONSER RITES TUESDAY
SERVICES TO BE AT NORA SPRINGS HOME

Mrs. W. H. Gonser, 85, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. L. McMillan, Minneapolis Sunday afternoon, following a long illness. She had resided most her life in Mason City and Nora Springs.

Mrs. Gonser was born Sarah Stewart, at Oregon, Illinois, and was a sister of D. J. and W. J. Stewart, merchants of Mason City more than 30 years ago.

As a young girl she moved from Oregon to Nora Springs and at 18 was married to W. H. Gonser, who preceded her in death in 1918.
During the past 20 years she had resided with her daughter in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Surviving are her daughter, one son, F. B. Gonser, Mason City, four grandchildren, Dick McMillan, Chicago; Bob McMillan Ford Leonard Wood, Missouri, and Billy and Cornelie Gonser, Mason City, and two great-grandchildren, Douglas and Richard McMillan, Chicago, and a brother, F. A. Stewart, Rockford, Illinois.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the Sheckler Funeral Home in Nora Springs.
Burial will be at the Rock Grove Cemetery.
