GREENE, IOWA - Darrel Andrew "Fuzz" Barth, 88, of Greene, died Sunday, April 3, 2005, at Floyd County Memorial Hospital hospice unit, Charles City.

He was born February 23, 1917, in rural Union Township, Floyd County, son of Harry Franklin and Mae Edna Fisher Barth. On May 26, 1940, he married Roberta M. Boyd in Charles City.

Mr. Barth received his education at Greene Public Schools and as a young man farmed with his father until 1947, when he joined Barth Chevrolet, Greene.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Bob (Rita) of Greene, Kenny of Clarion and Harry (Jean) of Tipton; two daughters, Barbara (Jim) Killoran of Dubuque and Linda (Mel) Anderson of Tripoli; 18 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Charlotte O'Brien of Greene.

Preceded in death by a son, Jerry; and a brother, Mervin.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, both in Greene. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Reids Funeral Chapel, Greene, where there will be a 7 p.m. public Scripture service and service of remembrance. Visitation also for an hour before services Thursday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the Darrel A. Barth Memorial Fund in care of the family.
