Funeral services were of Mason. City Saturday for Clayton P. Berner, 55, Mason City, formerly of Charles City, who died at his home Thursday following a lingering illness.

He was employed at the Capital Tobacco Co., for many years.

He leaves his wife and two daughters, Mrs. Jerry Fodder, Charles City, and Mary Kay Berner, two sons, Richard and William, all of Mason City.

C. Berner Rites to Be Saturday

Funeral services for Clayton Berner, 55, who died at his home, 176 Crescent Drive, Thursday following an illness, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Patterson-James Mason City Chapel. The Rev. Immanuel Fredmund interim pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will be at the Rockwell Cemetery.

C. P. Berner Rites Held at Chapel

Funeral services for Clayton P. Berner, 55, who died Thursday, were held Saturday afternoon at the Patterson-James Mason City Chapel with the Rev. Immanuel Fredmund, interim pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Mrs. Wallace Allen played obsequial music on the organ. Mrs. Francis Hull and Mrs. William Hawley were in charge of flowers.

Relatives attending the services were Robert Brock and Ada Brock, Oskaloosa; Esther Ziegler, Grace, Idaho; Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Clements, Davenport; Mr. and Mrs. F. S. Main, Aurora, Illinois; Mavis Johnson, Spencer, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Beery, Fort Dodge; Mr. and Mrs. John Cox, Waterloo; Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Wilcox, Spencer; Mr. and Mrs Sam Oftedahl and Mr. and Mrs Albert Dirkson, Albert, Lea, Minnesota.

Pallbearers were Fenton Fockler, Francis Hull, Russell Aanes II, D. Davidson, Lyle Wilcox and John Cox. Car escorts were Russell Nelson and Fenton Fockler.

Interment was at the Rockwell Cemetery.
