Laura Viola Moen was born February 14, 1907 at rural Floyd, Iowa (north of Rudd) to Syver Veggarsen Moen and Karen Larsdatter Wahl, the oldest of their three children. She also had one older half-sister.

She was baptized at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.

Found in the 1910 census living at Grand Meadow, Mower, Minnesota: Sever V Morre (Syver Moen) 46, Karen L 36, Lydia 9, Laura V 3, Ingral (Ingvald) S 8 months, Helge Mahl 24.

Found in the 1915 census at Chester, Howard, Iowa: Viola Moen age 8.

Found in the 1920 census at Leroy, Mower, Minnesota: Lydia, 19, Laura V 12, Invald S 10, and Gilman 8.

Laura married Henry Olaf Anderson on May 9, 1930 at the Bethlehem Church, Fergus Falls, Otter Tail, Minnesota. The couple had 1 son.

Found in the 1930 - 1940 censuses at Detroit Lakes, Becker, Minnesota:
1930: Viola Moen age 23.

1940: Henry O Anderson 38, Laura Viola Anderson 33, James H Anderson 8, Olga Sperstad 23.

Laura Anderson died September 27, 2003 at Fargo, Cass, North Dakota and was buried at the Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo, Cass, North Dakota.
