Funeral Saturday for Mrs. George Winner, 52

Charles City – Funeral services for Mrs. George A. Winner, 52, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Grossmann’s chapel with the Rev. Milton Holmberg, of the Evangelical Covenant Mission officiating. Burial will be in the Chickasaw cemetery. Mrs. Winner died unexpectedly Tuesday evening at the University hospital in Iowa City, where she was taken Monday.

Marchia Thomas, daughter of Herbert and Elfrieda Thomas, was born at Ionia, and spent most of her life there. She had been in failing health 5 years, and was taken to Iowa City just the day before her death. She is survived by her husband, 307 6th avenue, 3 step-daughters, Mrs. Floyd Shanfield, Alta Vista, and Erma and Georgia Mae at home; 2 brothers, Gilbert Eugene and Harry C. Thomas of this city and a sister, Mrs. E.B. Rucker, of Laverne, Minn.
