Pamela "Pam" Darrow, 60, of Fonda, formerly Storm Lake, died Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at the Fonda Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Fonda.

A memorial service for Pamela Darrow will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at the Hauser Funeral Home. Pastor Jim Beranek will officiate. Inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery at Charles City.

Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home one hour prior to the memorial service on Wednesday.

Pamela Faith Darrow was born February 1, 1954, at Charles City, the daughter of Dean and Anita (Pettitt) Darrow. She graduated from Charles City High School in 1972. Due to health issues Pam spent most of her life in various care facilities. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Her interests included reading, going for walks, attending auctions and sales, collecting books, writing letters, spending time with her friends especially Donna Dawson and calling her parents on the phone.

Living family members include her parents, Dean and Anita Darrow of Charles City; sister, Deanna (Bruce) Nilges of Elma; special friend, Sid Zystra; nephews, Jason (Jen) Nilges and Matthew Nilges; niece, Kirsten (Kevin) Lang; and several aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents; and several aunts and uncles.
