Mrs. Kinney, Pioneer of Marble Rock, Buried

MARBLE ROCK, Dec. 6 -- Funeral services for Mrs. Kitty Kinney, 64, a resident of Scott township for more than 50 years, were held in the Baptist church, the Rev. L.W. Inman of Shellsburg in charge of the services. Eunice Helen Smith was born at Monona, coming to this community when 8 years of age. On Nov. 6, 1889, she was married to Stephen M. Kinney at Charles City. She was a member of the Congregational church and of the Eastern Star organization at Rockford. Surviving are three children and nine grandchildren. The children are Gladys, Mrs. Voney Nash, at Marble Rock, Bernice and Claude Kinney of St. Louis, Mo.
