Marble Rock - Mrs. Bertha Manchester, 74, in Cedar Valley hospital after an illness of two years; nee Bertha Abendroth, to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Abendroth Feb. 25, 1877, near Hamburg, Germany; came to the United States with her parents when she was five; married to C.D. Manchester May 31, 1897; always lived on the same place at Marble Rock; was preceded in death by her husband and one daughter Neva Grace; leaves two daughters, Mrs. Clarence Palmer, West Liberty and Merle Manchester, Marble Rock; three grandsons; funeral was Tuesday.
