Wm. Bedell has been very sick the past three weeks with typhoid fever.

Wm. F. Bedell was born January 23, 1843, in Orleans Co., N.Y. Came to Iowa with his parents in 1856, at the age of 18 years. December 7th, 1861 he enlisted in Company E, 12th United States Infantry and served three years in the army of the Potomac receiving an honorable discharge Dec. 6, 1986, after which he returned to Marble Rock.
He was united in marriage to Amelia Yerrick May 26, 1865, and resided in Union township Iowa, until the year 1870, when he moved to Marquette county, Wisconsin, and remained there until the year 1881 and then returned to Union township where he has resided ever since.
Three children blessed this union, two girls and one boy. One girl died when two years old. The wife and two children remain to mourn his loss. He was taken sick Sept. 6, 1899, and died Oct. 10, 1899, aged 56 years, 5 months and 17 days.
Services held at the M.E. church conducted by Rev. D.N. Howe.
