Millie (Schrader) Hillman – January 24, 1896 – February 17, 1948

SERVICES FOR MRS. WILLARD HILLMAN HELD LAST FRIDAY
LIFELONG RESIDENT OF FLOYD COUNTY SURVIVED BY HUSBAND, SON, TWO SISTERS AND FOUR BROTHERS.

Millie Schrader-Hillman, daughter of William and Pauline Schrader, was born in Ulster Township of Floyd County on January 24, 1896. She died Tuesday February 17th of a heart attack at her home near Rockford. She had lived 52 years and 23 days.

On February 16, 1914 she was united in marriage to Willard Hillman, spending her entire life in a radius of ten miles from Ulster Township. She was a member of a family of thirteen. Early in life Mrs. Hillman became a member of the Flood Creek Methodist Church.

Mrs. Hillman was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Charlie Shultz, Frank Schrader and Herman Schrader; and three sisters, Lena Wagner, Hilda Losee and Myrtle who died in infancy.

She is survived by her husband, one son Darrell, two sisters, Mrs. Gusta Mitchell of Zion, Illinois and Mrs. Clara Wedeking of Marble Rock; four brothers, Rudolph Shultz of Marble Rock, Adolph Schrader of Mason City, William Schrader of Charles City and Louie Schrader of Marble Rock and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Watterson funeral home in Greene, with Rev. H. F. Mercer officiating. Burial was in East Side Cemetery at Marble Rock.
