Mrs Benjamin Parker Dead.

Mrs. Benjamin Parker, who lives north of Carrville, passed away Saturday, following an illness of several months from cancer of the stomach.

Deceased was 53 years of age and is survived by her husband and six children, five girls and one boy, all at home. She had been a resident of this vicinity most of her life except six years spent in Waterloo, the family moving back to their present home about a year ago.

Mrs. Parker was highly respected by all who knew her. She was a good woman and as a wife and mother was everything that the words imply. The sympathy of all goes out to the bereaved husband and children.

Funeral services were held from the home Monday afternoon and interment was in Beck Cemetery.

2. Apparently Carrville is now a ghost town.

3. A tombstone in Riverton Cemetery pretty much implies that her name was Harriet A. Parker, and that she is not in "Beck Cemetery" which apparently does not exist. See Iowa GPP for a photo of her tombstone.
