Funeral Saturday for Mrs. Meyers at Rudd Church

NORA SPRINGS - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Rudd Methodist Church for Mrs. John Meyers, who died Wednesday at her home. The Rev. C.L. Oelfke will be in charge and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Rockford. The Sheckler Funeral Home, Nora Springs, is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Meyers had made her home with her only son, Walter Meyers, on a farm three miles southeast of Rudd.

Mrs. Meyers, the former Ida Zingg, was born in Bern, Switzerland, Jan. 5, 1869. She was one of five children of Jacob and Elizabeth Zingg. Her marriage to John Meyers took place Oct. 11, 1892, in the St. Charles Church. Mr. Meyers died at the age of 77. The couple celebrated their golden wedding in October, 1942.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. John Hagman and Mrs. Henry Rolfes and two brothers, Jake Zingg and Alfred Zingg, all of Floyd County.
