Iowa Deaths

Mrs. C.H. Hess, 84, mother of A.T. Hess, 1002 Hulin street, Saturday at the Cedar Valley hospital here; suffered a stroke and had been a patient at the hospital since Aug. 7; body was sent to Fullerton, Neb. for funeral services; born May 1, 1866, at Hamburg, Germany, and came to the United States at the age of 10; made her home in Fullerton, Neb., until May, when she came to Charles City to live with her son and his family, Mr. and Mrs. A.T. Hess, who left Sunday for Fullerton; leaves another son, Carl Hess, Fullerton, and a daughter, Mrs. O.E. Johnson, Omaha, Neb., seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
