Rites Are Held for Nora Springs Woman

NORA SPRINGS, Sept. 8 - Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the M.E. church for Mrs. August Franke, who died Thursday morning after an illness of more than a year. The Rev,. H.A. Crumb officiated and burial was in the Rockford cemetery beside her son, Lee.

Miss Fannie Dean was born in Canasaraga, N.Y., in February, 1862*, and came with the family to Rockford when 9 years of age.

She is survived by her husband, August Franke; two sons, Earl Hagerman of Seattle and Frank Hagerman; two daughters, Mrs. Fred Coons, Mason City, and Mrs. Veryl Draeger, Rockford; two brothers, W.S. Dean, Monroe, Wash.; E.E. Dean, Vancouver, British Columbia, and a sister, Mrs. Jennie Dean Joyce, Oakland, Cal.
