Skeleton of Man Is Identified
RUDD - The skeleton of a man was found Friday by Leonard (Curley) Carlson in a quonset building on his farm 3 3/4 miles south of here.
Dr. Winston C. Baltzell, Floyd County coroner, identified the body as that of Lee Biggs, 68, who had been missing from the Floyd County Home since July 19. Dr. Baltzell said Marion Jensen, steward of the home, had identified Biggs from clothing he wore.
Biggs was formerly a resident of Rockford, but had lived at the home for more than 20 years. He was a mental patient and in poor health physically.
Carlson said that until Friday he had not been in the quonset shed since late July when he stored straw there.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Hauser Funeral Home, Charles City, with burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery.
Biggs is survived by a brother, Guy, Rockford.
