CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Marlys Stiles, 95, of Charles City, died Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at Cedar Health in Charles City.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Trinity United Methodist Church. Pastor Jim Beranek will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at Charles City.

The family will greet friends at the church an hour prior to the service.

Marlys Stiles, 95, of Charles City, died Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at Cedar Health in Charles City.

The family will greet friends at the church an hour prior to the service.

Marlys Eileen Belzman Stiles was born March 12, 1919, at Charles City, the daughter of Frank and Sarah (Miller) Belzman. She received her education at Charles City.

On January 16, 1937, she was united in marriage to Delbert Stiles at Charles City. Marlys was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Midi's group of the church. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, golfing and playing Bridge. Her family was always special Marlys and when her grandsons were active in sports she was always in attendance.

Living family members include two sons, Carlyle Stiles of New York, N.Y. and Richard (Pam) Stiles of Newton; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and two nieces, Marilyn McClain and Jean Leary.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter-in-law, Diane Stiles; and two sisters, Mary Leary and Margaret McClain.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Trinity United Methodist Church, 601 Milwaukee Street, Charles City, IA 50616, or charity of choice.
