A telegram was received in the city this morning announcing the death of R. M. Bliss, a former well-known citizen, which occurred yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Elza Waller, in St. Paul, Minn. Mr. Bliss was a resident of this city for many years, having been a traveling salesman for a crockery firm.

About eight years ago he moved to St. Paul, where he has resided since. He leaves four children, Mrs. Lucy Snyder of Garner, Mrs. Grace Waller of St. Paul, Earnest Bliss of Dubuque, and George Bils of Chicago.

His wife and one son, Homer, passed away some years previous. Deceased was 68 years of age at the time of his death and has been ill for other complications. The body will be brought to this city tonight at 12:50 and the funeral services will be held sometime tomorrow.
