CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Juanita Jacobs, 82, of Charles City died Saturday, December 21, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City.

Funeral services for Juanita Jacobs will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Hauser Funeral Home. Pastor Dennis Niezwaag of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at Charles City.

The family will greet friends at the funeral home an hour prior to the service on Thursday.

Juanita Jacobs, 82, of Charles City, died Saturday, December 21, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in Mason City.

Juanita Marie White Jacobs was born November 20, 1931, at Dougherty, the daughter of John and Kathryn (Adelmund) White. She graduated from Charles City High School. On October 15, 1949, she was united in marriage to LaVerne Jacobs at Lancaster, Missouri. For a number of years she was employed at the Dutch Oven Bakery which she later purchased. After it closed she worked in the HyVee bakery for over 40 years as a cake decorator.

Juanita was a member of Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church. She enjoyed baking and bowling and had a great love for all animals, especially her pets. She will always be remembered for her love of family and enjoyed cooking and having dinners for them.

Living family members include three daughters, Linda (Les) Hobert and Debra (Tim) Hovey both of Charles City and DeeAnn Moline of Boone; seven grandchildren, Wendy Botkin, Jeff (Misty) Hobert, Travis (Heather) Hobert, Ryan (Holly) Wright, Joshua, Kelsey and Clair Moline; and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, LaVerne on June 26, 2009; a brother, Robert White; and a sister, Faye Jones.
