ELDON AMY, SR.

DIED HERE FRIDAY

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon for an Osage resident, Eldon Amy, Sr., 78, who died Friday at the Osage Nursing Home. Mr. Amy had been ill for the past several months and was confined to the Osage Nursing Home the past two months.

Rev. L. Norris, pastor of the Congregational church in Osage, was in charge of the services at the Champion Funeral Home, and burial was in the Osage cemetery.

Eldon Amy was born on June 12, 1893, in New Auburn, Minnesota, the son of William and Hattie Hubbard Amy. He moved with his parents to Rockford, Iowa, where he attended schools.

Eldon Amy and Nora Hilborn were united in marriage on November 15, 1917, in Charles City, Iowa. They spent most of their married life in the vicinity of Rockford, Iowa, moving to Osage later.

Surviving are his wife, Nora; two daughters, Mrs. Irvin Decker (Ruth) of New Waverly, Indiana, Mrs. Florence Tireman of Osage; two sons, Eldon of Osage and William of Boise, Idaho; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
