NORA SPRINGS, IOWA - Scott Thomas Hart, 52, of Nora Springs, died Saturday November 23, 2013, at his home in Nora Springs.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday Nov. 27, 2013, at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., Mason City, with the Rev. Kenneth Gehling officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday Nov. 26, 2013, at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, Mason City. Burial will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery, Mason City. Memorials may be directed to the Scott Hart Memorial Fund in care of Brad Hart, 120 26th St. S.W., Mason City, IA 50401.
Scott Thomas Hart, the son of Raymond and Rose (Marshall) Hart was born Nov. 25, 1960, in Mason City. He grew up and attended school in Mason City. He worked at Schneider Metal for some time, and other factory jobs in the area.
Scott was married to Deborah "Deb" (Slusarczyk) June 20, 2005, and in 2009 Deb passed away. Scott was a fun loving free spirit. He loved to play jokes on his family and friends. Scott was an excellent cook, and would go around delivering "Scott's meals on wheels," up until the point he would run out of Tupperware. Scott enjoyed watching his nephew race, going to concerts, morel mushroom hunting, riding his motorcycle or bicycle, sitting around bonfires, or sending off wishing lanterns in the sky. Scott was fun to be around, and will be missed by many.
He is survived by his children, Ryan Gordon, Grimes, Iowa, and Eric Hart, Mason City; special friend, Karyl O'Connor, Nora Springs; brothers and sister, Brad (Fredde Jilek) Hart, Mason City, Brenda Hart, Mason City, Kevin (Ruth) Hart, Mason City, and Dennis (Robin) Hart, Mason City; nieces and nephews, Joel (Amy) Berding, Cedar Falls, Levi Nielsen, Cedar Falls, Rachel Hart, Mason City, Chad Hart, Mason City, Chelsia Hart, Seattle,Wash.; best friend Kelly Abrams, Mason City; and his cats, Rusty, Billy and Sammy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Rose (Marshall) Hart; wife, Deb Hart; sister, Shelly Hart; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
