RITES SATURDAY FOR MRS. T. ROWE

Funeral services are tentatively set for Saturday afternoon for Mrs. Tena Rowe, 79, who died Tuesday night at Mitchell County Memorial hospital in Osage. Mrs., Rowe had been ill for about two weeks.

Mrs. Rowe's complete obituary will appear in the Press-News next week.

RITES HELD FOR

MRS. TENA ROWE

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon for an Osage woman, Mrs. Tena Rowe, 79, who died February 9, 1971, at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital as the result of a heart condition.

Rev. O. Hoven, pastor, was in charge of the rites at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Arrangements were by C.R. Champion and Sons, and burial was in the Osage Cemetery.

Tena Nelson was born in Floyd County, Iowa, on July 4, 1891, the daughter of Ola and Anna Pierce Nelson. As a young girl she lived southwest of Osage and attended the rural school in Cedar Township.

Ray L. Rowe and Tena Nelson were married on December 21, 1911, by Rev. F. Court, at the Methodist Parsonage in Osage. After living a short time in Orchard and Osage, they moved to a farm southwest of Osage in 1915, where they made their home until retiring to Osage in 1943.

Survivors include five sons: Lester, Paul, Clyde, Earl and Alan; one daughter, Mrs. Donald Kubicek (Marvel) of Osage; 16 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one brother, Ole Nelson of Austin, Minnesota.

Preceding her in death were her husband in 1963; her parents, one grandchild; two great-grandchildren and 11 sisters.
