ROCKFORD, IOWA - David L. Klink, 66, of 1455 Highway 147, Rockford, died following a car accident west of Charles City on November 8, 2013.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the Fullerton Funeral Home, 302 West Main, Rockford.

Memorials may be made to the Heart or Diabetes Association.

David Leonard was born on April 15, 1947, at the old Cedar Valley Hospital in Charles City, the first son of Leonard L. and E. Mildred "Inman" Klink. He was a graduate of the Rudd Rockford, Marble Rock High School with the class of 1965. As a youngster, he was a member of 4-H and excelled in showing cattle.

David was baptized, confirmed and married at the First United Methodist Church. He was united in marriage to Marge Scott at the Rockford First United Methodist Church on May 30,1987. David was a hard worker and always on the go. If he was not at home you could find him visiting with friends and family at work or home. He resided in the family home in Rockford. His younger career was involved with the railroad in Charles City until his first heart attack. He then held various positions with Trettin Farms for over 20 years until his retirement.

David is survived by his only brother, Alvin, and his wife Susan Klink of Marble Rock; his nieces and nephews, Michael (Vivian) Klink, Nora Springs, Leroy Klink and his girlfriend Dara Davies, Marble Rock, Shelley (Adam) Parks, Mitchell, Rhonda Thompson and her boyfriend Aaron Baker, Charles City, Edna (Adam) Blakewell, Charles City; great-nephews and great-nieces, Jermey Stephens, Des Moines, Jeffery and Bryanna Stephens, Charles City, Wesley, Macabe and Colten Klink, Greene, Kayelea Parks, Mitchell, Damian and Darrius Blakewell, Charles City; two stepsons;, and many cousins and friends.

David was preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Mildred, wife Marge, sister-in-law Nancy Klink, grandparents L.W. and Edna Inman, Paul and Anna Klink and his great-grandmother Euphenia Morse and many aunts and uncles, including Loren and Darlene Inman.
