Julia Schaefer

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Grossmann funeral home for Julia Carey Schaefer, 67, who died Saturday at the Floyd County Home where she had made her home the past 22 years; Rev. B. Truman Holsather of Mission Covenant Church, officiated, and burial was in the Flood Creek Cemetery.

Born September 18, 1882, in Floyd County, Miss Schaefer was the daughter of Peter and Elizabeth Riedlinger Schaefer. Survivors include a brother Jake Schaefer and two sisters, Mary and Elizabeth Schaefer, all of Charles City; two other sisters, Mrs. John Daake, Eldora, and Mrs. Lydia Holman, Omaha, Neb., also survive; four brothers preceded her.
