LITTLE BOY BURNED TO DEATH

Charles City - March 31.— A shocking accident occurred at the home of Mrs. Michael Hund at Rudd Sunday afternoon.

The parents had left home for a short time- leaving the home in charge of the children. While they were playing and busy in various ways the youngest, a little boy, four years of age, set fire to his clothing, and before he was seen his clothing, with the exception of his shoes and stockings were completely burned from his body.

He was completely cooked from his knees to his chin. A neighbor saw the child run from the house and sent for the mother, who upon her arrival telephoned for Dr. Niemack of this city. The doctor left at once for Rudd, but the child had died before his arrival.
