MRS. ED MATTESON DIES THIS MORNING

Mrs. Ed Matteson, who has been ill for some time and who suffered a paraletic stroke last Monday, from which she did not regain consciousness, passed away this morning at 5 o'clock, at her home on Waller Street, west side. Deceased was about 53 years of age and was born in Floyd County, her parents the late Mr. and Mrs. John Harvey, having been among those who came here in the early fifties.

She was married to Ed Matteson some thirty years ago and ten children, nine of whom survive, were born of the union. She was a kind neighbor, a loving mother and the community at large will be grieved to learn of her passing. Besides her husband the following children are left to mourn: Earl Matteson, Olathe, Col.; Mrs. Will Marlow, Misses Alma, Bessie, Nellie and Hattie, Roy, George and Edward Matteson, of this city. Deceased also leaves two brother and two sisters to mourn her death.

Funeral services will be held somEtime Sunday although no definite hour has been fixed.
