Scott, Sanford S.

The funeral of the late S.S. Scott was held from the home on Clark Street at 2:30 this afternoon. Rev. Wilson Denney officiated. The services were well attended by the intimate friends of the deceased who went to offer their last tribute of respect to one who in life was all that was good and true and noble. There were many beautiful floral tributes. The remains were interred in Riverside Cemetery.

Sanford S. Scott was born 17 Jun 1827, Washington Township, Licking County, Ohio; and died 11 Mar 1903, at Charles City, Floyd County, Iowa, at age 75. He was buried on 14 Mar 1903, at Riverside Cemetery, Charles City, Floyd County, Iowa.

His wife was Permelia Hair Scott. She was born on 1 Sep 1828, in Ohio, and died on 9 Aug 1894, at St. Charles Township, Floyd County, Iowa, at the age of 65. Permelia was buried on 10 Aug 1894, at Riverside Cemetery, Charles City, Floyd County, Iowa.
