Monaghan, Mary

DIED - At her residence, Niles Twp., Friday, April 21, 1893. of heart disease, Mary Monaghan, aged 83 years.

Deceased was born in Ireland, and having grown to womanhood, became the wife of Thomas Monaghan, who died here about eight years ago.

Two of the children, James and Mary, of Niles Twp. were born in Ireland. The other living children are Thomas, of Lake County, Ill., Cassie, widow of John Henry, and Winifred, widow of Patrick Dinan, both of Chicago. Having lived a number of years in Lake County, Ill., the family removed to Niles Twp., this county, where they have lived thirty one years.

Mrs. Monaghan has been in feeble health for a number of years. She appeared to be as well as usual last Friday, since her death was quite unexpected. The funeral was held this morning from the Catholic Church, this city Dean McGrath performed the funeral and preached on the suddenness of death and the necessity of being always prepared.
