Died: Feb. 15, 1963

CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Dr. J. W. Cavett, 62, died in his sleep early Friday morning. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Sunnyside Memory Gardens with Hauser Funeral Home in charge.

Dr. Cavett was manager of the analytical chemistry department of Dr. Salsbury's Laboratories. He had been at Dr. Salsbury's since May 17, 1937, after seven years as professor of physiological chemistry at the University of Minnesota medical college. He was active in several Masonic bodies.

Born March 6, 1900, near Kent, Indiana, he was married to Myrtle Price of Coweta, Oklahoma, on August 22, 1924.

Survivors include his wife; three children: Mrs. Dick Lindaman, Charles City, William W., Phoenix, Arizona, and Robert, a student at Mason City Junior College; and five grandchildren.
