In loving memory of Marnie Jo Jurrens who passed away March 21, 2013, at Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman, Texas.

Marnie was born on June 4, 1947, to Virgil and Mabel (Pretti) Waters in Canon City, Colorado. Marnie married Jim Jurrens on September 6, 1969. She and Jim moved to Minnesota in 1972 where they had two children, Kendra and Jimy. In 1988, they moved to Texas and made Pottsboro their home.

Marnie retired in 2006. Marnie’s world revolved around her two grandchildren, Farrin and Caston. She enjoyed camping with Jim and her grandchildren and spending time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Jim Jurrens; parents, Virgil and Mabel Waters; brother, Bill Waters; inlaws, Kenny and Madeline Simmons; and brother-in-law, Skeet Jurrens.

Survivors include her children Kendra (Johnny Walker), and Jimy (Chrissy), her grandchildren Farrin and Caston, all of Pottsboro, Texas. Her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Cherrie and Darrin Schiltz and two nieces, Kimberly Schiltz all of Albert Lea, Minnesota, and Amanda Schiltz of Warren, Michigan. A sister-in-law, Sue Jurrens (Skeet) of Mason City, and a niece, Alicia (Mike) Tobin of Charles City and a nephew, Chris Jurrens of Ames. Sister-in-law Beth Waters of Canon City, Colo. and special friends Brandi Walker McRight and Becca Procnow of Texas, and Darrell and Jenny Ross of Charles City.

Marnie lived a full and happy life and will always be remembered for her nursing skills, her quick wit and her ability to laugh, even during hard times. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and many friends. The family held a private memorial service in Texas.
