Rudd Pioneer's Funeral Is Held At Charles City

Charles City, Iowa - Funeral services for a pioneer resident of Rudd, Mrs. H.N. Ervy, 82, were Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the home. Burial was in Rudd cemetery. Mrs. Ervy was born in 1850 at Freeport, Illinois, and was married in 1871, going with her husband to Sioux City in a covered wagon. Later they settled on a farm three miles west of Rudd. One son and five daughters survive.

Rites for Mrs. Ervay Are Conducted at Rudd

RUDD, June 15--Funeral services were held yesterday for Mrs. H.N. Ervay. Her five sons, Frank, Fred, Allan, Harry and Dave and a grandson, Vane, acted as pallbearers. Paul Stalker, Kenneth Eli, Ivan Bartz and Phillip Ell sang with Mrs. Florence Pomeroy as accompanist. Burial was in the Rudd cemetery.
