Larry D. Buttjer, 48, of RR 2, Orchard, Iowa, died on Sunday, November 16, 1986, of natural causes, at an Iowa City hospital. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, November 19, 1986 at Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City, Iowa. Rev. W. Stufflebeam, pastor of Maywood Wesleyan Church in Waterloo officiated, and burial was in Sunnyside Memory Gardens, Charles City.

Mr. Buttjer was born on October 29, 1938 in Franklin County, Iowa, to Richard and Genevieve (Bobst) Buttjer. He graduated from Charles City High School.

On October 26, 1975, he married Leanne Hahn in Charles City. He was employed by Floyd County Road Maintenance crew for 18 years.

Survivors include his wife, Leanne; three daughters: Tammy of Ionia, and Jean and Angie, both at home; his mother, Genevieve Cerwinske of Charles City; a sister, Mrs. Billie (Eleanor) Van Hauen of Charles City; and a brother, Richard Buttjer, Jr., of Charles City.

He was preceded in death by his father.
