Funeral for Slocum Conducted at Rudd

RUDD, IOWA - E.O. Slocum, 74, died at his home 1 mile south ad one-half mile east of Rudd, Saturday afternoon of pneumonia. Funeral services were held at the Rudd M.F. church Monday with the Rev. Will Kirwin in charge. Burial was in the Rudd cemetery.

Surviving are his wife, two sons, Chester and Howard, and four daughters, Mrs. Wesley Gauger of Rockford, Mrs. H.O. Nielsen of Mitchell, South Dakota, Mrs. Ed Henry of Guttenburg and Mrs. Beulah Slocum, a nurse at Cedar Rapids, who cared for her father during his illness. There are nine grandchildren.
