SAMUEL EARNEST OF RUDD IS DEAD

Became Ill With Hiccoughs Week Ago; Leaves Wife and One Son

RUDD, Oct 3--Samuel F. Earnest died Tuesday evening at the Cedar Valley hospital at 11 o'clock where he had been taken about 8 o'clock.

He had been ill with an attack of hiccoughs for about one week. For the past few years he had been employed as the mail messenger. His wife, Mrs. Ida Kennedy Earnest, and son, Gerald survive.

Funeral arrangements are not yet complete but burial will be in the Rudd cemetery.
