MRS. STRAWN OF PACKARD BURIED

Body of Aged Woman Taken to Rudd; Formerly Lived in Mason City

CLARKSVILLE, May 3-- Funeral services for Mrs. Phoebe Wood-Strawn, 88, who died a the home of her brother, Ace Wood, Tuesday were held at he Wood farm home near Packard Thursday afternoon and the body taken to the Rudd cemetery for burial. The Rev. R.B. Fisher had charge of the service.

Born near Belvidere, Ill., Feb. 3, 1846 she was married at 16 to Alva Strawn, who preceded her in death 10 years ago. She is survived by a brother, a son, Justin of Battle Creek, seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

She came from Mason City a year ago to live with her brother and wife as her health was failing. She had been confined to her bed constantly during the past two weeks.
