Cecil William Allison – October 6, 1896 – February 15, 1980
Cecil William Allison, the son of Bert and Eva Zwanziger Allison, was born October 6, 1896, in Bradford Township. He died February 15, 1980 at the hospital in Charles City.
He married Lena Schmidt December 4, 1914 in Waverly and they farmed in the Nashua vicinity from that time until moving to Charles City in 1953. He built his own home there and did carpentry work until retirement.
He was preceded in death by his wife, March 6, 1978, after 64 years of life together.
Two sons also preceded him.
Survivors are two sons, Garford of Nashua and Charles of Marshalltown and a daughter, Mrs. Allen (Mildred) Steffler of Charles City. There are nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 2 p.m. February 18 from the Chenoweth Funeral Home in Nashua with burial in Greenwood Cemetery
