Richard Kent Lindaman, 90, of Charles City, passed away on January 13, 2013, at Floyd County Memorial Hospital. Arrangements are being trusted to Fullerton Hage Funeral Home of Charles City. Richard Kent Lindaman

Richard Kent Lindaman, of rural Charles City, Iowa, died on Sunday, January 13, 2013, at the age of 90.

Visitation will be at St. John Lutheran Church, in Charles City, from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, January 19, followed by a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. and lunch at noon. Internment will be at a later date.

Richard was born on October 11, 1922, at home to Vivian and Mabel (Burns) Lindaman on the family farm in Charles City. The family operated Lindemere Dairy until the 1968 tornado when it was destroyed. While in the military, he married Mary Cavett at her family home on July 9, 1946.

Dick was active in sports, farming, hog and cattle producers. He helped organize the Cattle Buyers Association. He was named Cattleman of the Year in 2002.

Living family members include his wife, Mary; a daughter, Patricia; sons David (Linda) and Doug; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews, especially, John Hayes, Steve Lindaman and Viva (Lindaman) Boerschel.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Thomas; two sisters, Kathryn Hayes and Doris Norelius; and four brothers: Bob, Ben, Jack and Joe.
