Funeral services were held on Friday, September 26, 1986, for Gerald Jordan, 83, of Osage, Iowa, at Rock Creek Lutheran Church, rural Osage, with Rev. Hoppenworth officiating. Burial was in Park Cemetery, Nora Springs.

Mr. Jordan died Wednesday, September 24, 1986, at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital in Osage.

Mr. Jordan was born on April 26, 1903 in Floyd County, Iowa, the son of Barnum and Myrtle (Durink) Jordan. He was a retired farmer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Elfriede (Rekow) Jordan who died in 1958; and a brother, Gaydan.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. LeRoy (Gail) Tappe of Wadena, Minn., Mrs. Duane (Glea) Brunner of Bettendorf, and Mrs. Lee (Gean) Breitsprecher of Riceville; and one grandchild.
