Funeral services will be held Today, Wednesday, September 24, 1986, for Amy L. Allen, 99, a lifetime resident of Rudd, Iowa, at Christian Church in Nora Springs. Stephane Boughton, minister, will officiate, and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Rockford. Mrs. Allen died on Sunday, September 21, 1986, at a Nora Springs nursing home.

Mrs. Allen was born on October 17, 1886 in Nora Springs, to Lorenzo and Elizabeth (Turner) Jackson. She attended school in Nora Springs and the Nora Springs Seminary school.

She married William Allen and the couple farmed in the Rudd area. They also raised a niece. She worked at Hoover's Hatchery in Rudd and as a night operator for Farmer's Mutual Telephone Co. She retired when the direct dial systems were installed.

Mrs. Allen lived at Starr Home and later at Salisbury Home in Charles City where she served as pianist. For the past nine months she was a resident of Nora Springs Care Center.

Survivors include three nieces; two nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband; an infant daughter; a sister; a brother; and a half-sister.
