CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Simon Rindels, 94, of Charles City, died Sunday (March 6, 2005) at the Allison Health Care Center in Allison.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home in Allison, with the Rev. Jeff Blank officiating. Burial will be in the Allison Cemetery in Allison.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home in Allison.

CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Simon Rindels, 94, of Charles City, died Sunday March 6, 2005, at Allison Health Care Center of natural causes.

He was born August 24, 1910, in Wellsburg, Iowa, the son of Reiner and Dena Frey Rindels. He married Lena VanHauen; they were later divorced. He then married Lula Williams in Cedar Falls.

Mr. Rindels farmed near Allison, Readlyn and New Hampton and was a cattle buyer throughout the Midwest and West.

Survived by his wife; two daughter's, Shirley Goebel of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Myrna Simon Rindels Taylor of Minnesota; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Berdene Steer of Allison.

Preceded in death by three sons: Wayne, Ray and Vern; three brothers, Jake, Edie and John; and a sister, Martha Doeden.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home, Allison, with burial in Allison Cemetery Friends may call for an hour before services at the funeral home.
