CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Duane Robbins, 65, of Charles City, died April 17, 2013, at his home.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 22, at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church. Pastor Dennis Niezwaag will officiate. Burial will be in Sunnyside Memory Gardens rural Charles City.

Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday and Monday at the church an hour prior to the service.

Duane Henry Robbins was born August 12, 1947, at Waterloo, the son of Lloyd and Arlene (Boldt) Robbins. He graduated from Charles City High School in 1967. Duane served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. On July 17, 1971, he was united in marriage to Christine Boyd. For many years he worked at TriMark in New Hampton, and was also a part-time farmer. Duane was a member of Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Charles City. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, trap shooting, and riding his own lawnmower.

Living family members include his wife Christine "Chris" Robbins of Charles City; children, Michelle Rocheleau and significant other Craig Nelson of Rockwell, Rick Robbins and significant other Tammy Gillespie of Charles City; 13 grandchildren, Dylan, Zachary, Riley, Darin, Cody, Katie, Cassandra, Caitlyn, Derrick, Courtney, Damien, Leah, and Aden; a sister Cathy Jenn of New Hampton, and a brother Lloyd (Janice) Robbins of Ionia.

Duane was preceded in death by his parents.
