Funeral services were held Monday, July 22, 1985, at First Baptist Church in Charles City, for Clarence E. Gage, 79, of Charles City, who died Friday, July 19 at a Charles City hospital. Dr. Jerry Springston officiated, and graveside services were at Graceland Cemetery in Webster City, Iowa.

One of Mr. Gages's survivors included his sister, Mrs. Velda Appel of Charles City who is the mother of Mrs. Loren (Sue) Brandau, an employee of the Mitchell County Press News.
