CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Melissa Leslie, 44, of Charles City, died Monday, April 15, 2013, at her home.

Funeral services for Melissa Leslie will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 18, at the Hauser Funeral Home. Inurnment will be at a later date in Alcock Cemetery, rural Fredericka.

Friends may call an hour prior to the service on Thursday at the Hauser Funeral Home.

Melissa Leslie, 44, of Charles City, died Monday, April 15, 2013 at her home.

Melissa Sue Hunn Leslie was born January 10, 1969 in Moline, Illinois, to Delbert and JoAnn (Joslin) Hunn. She attended schools in New Hampton and Charles City. On March 24, 2011 she was united in marriage to Michcal Leslie in New Hampton. Melisa enjoyed playing on the computer (especially Facebook), crosswords, search and finds, frogs, dragons, and wolves. She will be remembered for her fond love of Tweety Bird, and her absolute love for her family.

Living family members include her husband Michcal of Charles City; children Holly Leslie of Boone, and Dakota Leslie of Nashua; step-children, Amy Leslie of Charles City, Katherine (Ken) Simons of Charles City, and Michcal, Jr. (Steve) Mesch of Minnesota; four grandchildren, Hezekiah, Mercedes, Jersey, and Bubba; her father Delbert Hunn; step-father Jim Haynes, and step-sisters Julie and Tammy; paternal grandmother Lois Hunn of Illinois; two aunts, Jan Cook and Judy Tynan; and cousins Julie Tynan (and family), and Jack Tynan (and family).

She was preceded in death by her mother JoAnn; maternal grandparents, Hollis and Marian Cross; and step-grandmother Dorothy Haynes.
