Worth Sylvester Clapp – August 22, 1888 – May 12, 1957

Services are Incomplete for Worth Clapp, 68

CHARLES CITY - Funeral services were incomplete, but will be held at the Hauser Funeral Home with burial in Oakwood Cemetery near Floyd, for Worth Sylvester Clapp, 68, who died at his home here Sunday afternoon. He had been in ill for two months.

He had been a resident of 713 10th Ave. for the past ten years and is a retired Oliver Corp. employee. A veteran of World War I, graveside rites will be in charge of the American Legion, of which he was a member and the VFW.

He was married to Vera Irene Chesnut in Charles City on Dec. 27, 1917. She survives along with the following children; Dale, Point Reyes Station, Calif.; Mrs. Harold Baehne, Rudd; Mrs. William Cross, Slater; Mrs. Harold Luster, Moline, Ill.; Mrs. George Royal, Charles City and Nell, Cedar Falls, 16 grandchildren and one brother, Bert, also of Charles City. He was preceded in death by a brother.

The Rev. Paul H. Heath will officiate.
