Cheryl Cagley, 57, of Floyd, Iowa, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in Mason City, Iowa.

No services are being planned at this time.

Cheryl Ann Summer Cagley was born October 30, 1955, at Charles City, the daughter of Wayne and Darlene (Rasmussen) Summer. She received her education from the Charles City school. On September 16, 1972, she was united in marriage to Nick Cagley at Charles City. For 20 years Cheryl worked at Hormel in Austin, Minn.

Her interests included hunting asparagus and mushrooms and watching movies. Family was very important to Cheryl and she took every opportunity to share her life with them, taking special interest in what her grandchildren and great-granddaughter were doing. Cheryl will always be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother.

Living family members include her husband, Nick Cagley of Floyd; three children, Dee Stewart Cagley of Charles City, Billy (Shelli) Cagley of Ionia and Jennifer (Jayson) Speakar of Floyd; nine grandchildren, Brett Cagley, Shana Fiser, Zack Fiser, Madison Rosauer, Nicholas Cagley, Nathan Cagley, Shiloh Speakar, Katelyn Speakar and Devon Speakar; a great- granddaughter, Braelyn Cagley; her mother, Darlene Summer of Floyd; a brother, Steven Summer of St. Ansgar; and a sister, Kathy (Jeff) Coe of Plymouth.

She was preceded in death by her father; a brother, Denny Summer; and paternal and maternal grandparents.
