Eugene Galant

TEMPE, ARIZONA - Eugene Charles Galant Jr., 61, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 29, 2004, after a six-week battle with acute leukemia. A 40-year resident of Tempe, Arizona, he was surrounded by loved ones at his home at the time of his death.

Eugene is survived by his loving wife Karen; his two daughters: Gina and husband Brian Yingling of Waddell, Ariz. and Vicky and husband Robert McLaughlin of Des Moines; and five grandchildren: Ericka, Robby and Savannah McLaughlin, and James and Brianna Yingling. He is also survived by his father, Eugene Sr., of 109 Chautauqua, Charles City; sisters Donna (Marty) Osier, Cedar Rapids, and Patricia Tillapaugh, Denver, Colo.; and brothers Vernon (Grace) Galant, Preston and Gary (Vicki) Galant, Clinton.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel.
